Hey everyone-
I know I've been pretty quiet when it comes to posting artwork around here. Other than product ideation and graphic design I used to not have much of anything cool to speak of.
That being said, I thought I would post some work done for the ArtCenter Product Design program I'm currently attending.
I'm now third term, and am working my absolute ass off. Not much time to do anything but homework these days. I included projects done In VisComm 1&2, Model 1&2, Product 1, Development of Form, and Transportation Design 1. For every drawing you see here, there are about 40 that I don't have space to include. I formatted these as part of an eventual mailing to family and friends to explain why they haven't heard from me since September. I won't bother describing eveything since there are captions. So, enjoy, I hope!
And Gort, I have not gotten less than a B. (GPA currently 3.5)

Man, that is a ton of output for just six months. You are getting your money's worth. Solid stuff, Jim. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

In displaying your work, I would remove the orange Art Center dot color that you have surrounding your images. It's distracting and it competes with your images. Try not to put light value text on top of intense color.
If you use more neutral colors in the text areas and non art areas, it will make the color in your actual pieces look more saturated. It will show off your stuff more.
That said, if you go to my site, it's obvious I should follow my own advice. I'm in the process of redoing mine, so take it as a 'do as I say, not as I do' sort of suggestion. _________________ Sheff

Drunk-
Thanks for the compliments!
No, didn't get scholarship on admitance, haven't yet applied for scholarship in term. I'll be applying this term, though. I didn't want to submit pre-3rd term because people rarely get scholarship pre-3rd term. I figure I can dump a whole load of stuff they haven't seen yet and have good grades to support it. |

Oh man, killer stuff.
Favorite so far was the cubicle elements, I really like the idea as a viable product and the designs are super sleek. Great forms on the rest.
It's kind of scary to think of this kind of stuff being turned out by relatively early term students, but very invigorating and exciting to think of that as what I'll be surrounded by (I'm an incoming 1st semester illustration major for the fall semester) _________________
