I don't see any obvious mistakes. It's looking really good. I can't wait to see the finished piece.

thankee =] ...

at the dimensions stated above, how big do you think this thing will print out ?
surely it cant be 12 inch by 9 inch, altho it says so under the document size right there ...

what really matters in printing ? Th resolution ? the document size ? ... i know for web 72 dpi is enough .. but what about printing ?

..
..
PS: I'm having problems with the skirt, sposed to look like a really hea victorian gown, without the cage inside... really heavy gown .. been looking at some pics on the net and i've an idea how to go about doing it .. was hoping someone could point me in another direction ? anyone had experience painting heavy gowns before ?

yes im slow ... i pushed the octopus up a bit, and re-ruffled her gown.
that gown is killing me, its not an excuse for the slow-ness, just whining =p ... trying to do a HEAVY victorian gown thing ... doesnt seem to be working. a Paintover right now would be MUCH appreciated...
no idea for background yet =\ ... should've thought of that earlier.

I was taught that:
170 ppi is good for low quality printing,
300 ppi is good for general printing, and
400+ is for high end quality printing.

The document size, I suppose, would depend on what this is to be used for, and how large of a printer you have access to...

Oh yes, and I also like where the piece is going- keep updating. Very Happy

I suggest going to image-size. uncheck resample image, and type in say 300-400 where you have 600.

300 dpi will be great resolution and you get about 23 x 16 inches which is much more rewarding. 4 times the area, the file size won't increase at all in doing so, and still at great resolution for printing.
