We havn't had many post lately along the lines of 'what do/are you _______ of/do/doing _______'.

And since my rapidly surfacing ultimate fear is now rapidly surfacing I decided to post this.

I am deathly afraid of people playing games involving balls or large roundish objects around me. I've just had so many bad experiences. For example: a science camp I went to, we shared the break time with the sports camp... sitting there reading... people throwing the balls around like slack jawed neanderthals... P.E. class hasn't helped at all but right now I'm in joy because we're doing badminton (not something I'm good at but at least it doesn't hurt) of course next where doing lacross (smaller, harder balls prepelled with more leverage) then rugby. joy

Its at the point where I'll usually cower in a corner quivering whenever people are engaged in such an activity, and then theres Rat's ensueing comments/laughter...

Aye! I feel like I'm just going die once we start the next unit in P.E. (my guess is that my heart will explode). Its quite unbearable.

So what other normal everyday fears do you people have?

~Jeff

AYE! stupid spelling!

I don't have any consistant daily fears.

I used to be scared of the dark and somewhat now still, but I'm sitting in a dark room typing this...so I guess I've kinda gotten over it.

Hmmm...ok...this was a useless reply.

I don't particularly like speaking in front of a group of people (especially my class), and spiders aren't that appealing (a few years ago, I was terrified of them), but I wouldn't say I'm afraid of them.

Strangely, I don't even get queasy around blood.

Coaster, didn't you have some wierd name for that? Spheriproximaphobia or something like that?

Being higher than 4.5 feet off of the ground.

Depending on my mood, I'm also claustrophobic.

interacting with other human beings is pretty scary!

*cough*

*cough*

especially when you have to talk about the weather....I hate small talk...I'd rather someone walk up to me and say "let's go to the penis festival!" rather than "whoa, nice weather huh?"

Awetopsy's lack of fear frightens me....

-Car crashes.

-The thought that I'll never improve as an artist.

-World War 3 (doesn't it seem to be right around the corner all the time?)

-My girlfriends' wrath.

-Suddenly not being able to spell anymore.

-Dropping my Wacom pen!!!!

Well, that was totally random.....

-Being totally random in my every move...

Imagine brushing your teeth with one of those stiff wire cleaning brushes.

I'm afraid of becoming one of those parents at the mall with three screaming kids.

-Tortured by someone into revealing information that will kill your loved ones (and imagining the torture in detail - the dental work mentioned by strata being a good place to start)

-Sophie's Choice, i.e. choosing which one of your kids may live and which must die (otherwise they both die)

-getting stuck upside down wedged in a crevice so tight you can hardly gasp for the smallest breath, and dying there (actually happened to a guy)

Funny how Dads always fear losing their family members the most. I'm there with Steven on this one.

One nightmare I had was when I was driving on the freeway and all the sudden I realized my daughter was on the hood of the car. The breaks hadn't worked and her little car seat started to slide off the hood. Next thing I know I was diving out the side window to try and grab her.

I woke up cracking my head open on the wall across the room. I had jumped from my bed and hit the wall headfirst in my sleep...lol

Horrible dream.

So family loss is my greatest fear.

Not knowing every outcome beforehand when I go into a situation. The only problem is, I have to deal with this fear every day.

Blah... damn anxiety.

Henrik.. I completely agree with you. Sharks scare the hell outta me.

Actually, the ocean in general scares the hell outta me. I hate even being in a boat and looking down into all that darkness. You have no idea what the hell could be waiting. Eeeeeeep! I saw some photos of Loki scuba-diving a while ago and almost shit my pants.

I'm also deathly afraid of Fat666. Why? Because he's fat.

pixelsoldier: I should take you diving then - just a mile off shore - swimming out there - all blue - muahahaha!
And then you'll see a shadow moving in ... and then two, five, ten, twenty - a pod of dolphins - wheeeeeeee!

I think what I'm really afraid of is to lose one or more of my senses and to die a sloooow painful death involving a terminal disease (now that I said that I'm sure I'll catch one ... oh well]

Haha, thanks Loki but I'll have to respectfully decline. Besides, the smell of the urine being endlessly expelled by my frightened little sausage would attract a school of baracuda or something. :P

Edit: I just noticed your post the_monkey. I had a kidney stone last year. You're very right to be afraid of 'em. It was pain like nothing I've ever felt before, and never want to feel again. I'm sure you must've heard the typical comparison; females that have both had a kidney stone and gone through labor, claim that a kidney stone is MUCH more painful. I can testify to that. Imagine pissing some solidified minerals about the size of a plump rice krispie through that little whole ..... OOOUUUCCH.

I'm deathly afraid of the vast, open ocean too. The idea of floating in the middle of the ocean, with no protection, no land within sight, and your legs in the water, not knowing what'll swim up and swallow you.... brrrr... I keep getting images of a huge Lockness monster type thing coming up to the surface too....

lostfilez: if you are ever trapped in a car thats going down under water... roll down the window and let the water in... then when the water stops rushing in you can swim out.

Awetopsy... yeah, if you've got a car that you roll down the window manually. But what if they're electrical and the second you smash into the water your whole electrical system shorts out and you can no longer roll down the windows... and then you've sunk so far that there's too much pressure on the outside of your windows to just break them out.... then what?? THEN WHAT!!??!!??
