Here's a charcoal piece I just finished for a class. Some of the marking style is Jim Dine influenced (which was part of the assignment - choose an artist and glean from their style of mark-making).
Anyways, let me know what you think.

I think it's great to see some charcoal work here. It's looking good. I'm trying to get back into doing charcoal still lifes... i'm finding I lose concentration after about 20 minutes working on it. Hopefully this will inspire me to really work at it some more. |

I like this piece too. I'm not familiar with Jim Dine so it feels very fresh to me. Hope it has a lot of your touch too of course. Great mood. Only crit is her right upper leg (her perspective) that looks a little thin. For the next one I mean
I must try charcoals more, got inspired too. Fixative stinks brrrr. _________________ The Dark Ages was caused by the Y1K problem. |
