Hi,
Here are two characters designs done for one of my current personnal project which I like a lot. It's about taking some old cult cartoon characters and making them modern and actual.
A thrilling exercice.
I've already posted a Captain Herlock :
http://www.aneyeoni.com/ART/Illustrations/Aleksi-CaptainHerlock01.511_800.jpg
Now, it's Ulysse 31 and Cobra.
The deal is to keep the linkness with the old characters but making them looking more adult and "realistic". Same thing for the story and character development. I'll post more about this point as soon as I can.
I've recently gone to Auvers sur oise, the french village where Vincent Van Gogh lived and died.
A small tribute :
Since some months, I've also rediscovered the pleasure to draw for myself, in a sketchbook dedicated to pure experimentation.
This Lion From Asia was done at the Museum of Asian Art in Paris (Guimet Museum):
This is a transformed study. In reality the Lion was lying horizontaly, I've used the observation exercice trying to change it.
This one was inspired by a child's drawing :
And some stranger sketches :
Different from my COLD FEAR stuff |

I love the way you do the shading. It looks really good. I love how you draw those characters and make them look raw, stylish and hella good!
Your drawings are candy for the eye. Thank you for posting them. |
