cool man - just keep practising... head on the second one is probably 1million x too small, but you're making progress on the torso |

You should break down the figure more analytically.
Take a look at this thread, inhale this shit, and make studies based on these concepts.

Learn FORM first and then, anatomy. Good luck and don't give up. |

I like the first one a lot, very nice.
The second one seems to be lacking in defenition, and yea, the head is a wee bit small. Nice work, though! _________________ I can only hope to one day become an artist. |

I have begun to take a different approach at this. A lot of people suggested I learn from inside out, so I can understand the muscles and structure a bit better. So I am going to do so by working my way from head to toe. Here I am currently working to understand the skull in front view. I am still unhappy with how they are turning out though. seems they are unproportional etc.

I am now a bit more happy with drawing the skull in front view:) now time for side views.

your getting the hang of it, keep in mind that you only need to understand whats under there, you seldom actually need to know the exact bone structures, just simply the forms. but keep at it, the systematised way seems to work for you. _________________ DeadbeaT was here |

Don't start by outlining your characters!
Start with basic stick figures where you accent the push and pull. exaggerate, but only a little, and it will help with the lifelike qualities in the finished piece. _________________
