Matthew: hey, you're welcome!! Yeah, I am also struggling with rendering. I wan't to echieve a special style but just can't. It's driving me crazy.
My stuff looks all the same.
Thanks alot! Glad you like it!
Nice skeches. I think it's cool to interpret your stuff. There's so much one can see in your images Very Happy

By the way: how big do you draw Matthew? I am asking cause this rendering style you have is close to wat I am after...hmm...damn. Stioll wonder how you achieved that awesome shading int he one for buzz and IdG...really beautiful.

As promised! - some more gilrs. Hope you like these Matthew.
oh, and sorry for the crappy quality. I remember loughing at people whoes scanner was broken cause I though that wasn't possible. well it is. And I just don't have time to buy new one...actually I am too lazy...

edit: argh, just fipped these in ps and realized that I totally messed up the anatomy...arghh

this one's Cos inspired

Matthew: Very cool again. Great feeling of open space there without even putting a humanlike character in there for scale-reference.
I'm also curious how big these drawings are, are these studies for a painting?
Only gripe I can think of at the moment is that the paper is a little smudgy, maybe the paper texture is too smooth.

Max Kulich: Good to see you're posting here too.
I'm also a Cos-fan and your ladies are always more than welcome Smile

First attempt at doing some perspective stuff and after that I fell back into my "Old Fat guy looking grumpy"- Routine again. I guess I have to start drawing more stuff that I don't like to draw like perspective stuff, because that is the only way I can get better at it and start liking it.

Happy Easter everybody.

hehe ok I better not try to hide, I suck at hiding.

The size for that first rendering on the last page was a bit big like 13.5 x 18.7 inches, 34.3 x 47.6 cm. These others are just plain copy paper in size A4, 8x11 inches, cheaper that way. But I can tell you it is better to work big, especially when rendering cause then the detail is important.

Max. yea I like your girls, you have become really good with anatomy and drawing, hard to keep up with you. Smile thanks again for your comment I really appreciate it.
btw, as a tip I can give is if you want to practise and experiment with rendering stuff I have noticed that is is better to just focus on that instead of doing figurative drawings, makes you more free in the experiment and one is more compelled to experiment more wildly. Hmm maybe I am wrong but it can be nice to just focus on one part at a time when drawing, it is for me anyway otherwise I am becoming of a confused mind lol.

buzzz. Nice Baron guy drawing there.
My drawings are not studies for paintings not at the moment, I am working on a big painting-project in school right now so I don't have time to plan other paintings as of recently.
This drawing stuff started out though with me trying to get better at drawing with a rendering style and now I have kept experiment with it, hopefully someday I can understand the importance of composition and rendering even better than I do now.
The smudgy part, yea you are right, I use a led smudger when doing drawings and sometimes I overdo it hehe. But since I am experimenting with layers in my oil-painting I guess a bit of that I do when drawing aswell, adding layer after layer. Mostly I start off with adding led to the whole paper-piece, smudge all around it and after that trying to find stuff in it.
thanks again for your comment there, me really appreciate it.

ok gotta go
keep up

Some morbid stuff ... I guess I was in a bad mood. Cough.

The longer I look at the quality in this thread the more I think it is a bad idea to post those ...

I like that dragonrock Matthew, maybe you should play with the light/shadow a bit on that one to make it even better.

nice studies cicinimo - line quality is very nice
matthew - something always distinctively agressive/forboding about your works - they have strong presence.

some toned stuff from class wed. and some 1-5min. layins from last night.
