You have another newbie-one here. So here it goes, my first post:
I have done couple of images with Wacom I just bought. First some 15min to 30min doodlings.
Into my eye these feels somehow unnecessary large in this forum page |

Another quick one, and since everyone else is mentioning, I might as well say that almost everything I do makes use of a ref or two at some point or another.

Hey watmough - thanks; I posted the birdies image on cgtalk.com too, maybe that's where you saw it. Very nice! Is that watercolor?
Here is a sketch I did tonight when I got burned out working on freelance work. Probably thirty hours between yesterday and today. (the freelance work, not this sketch.) Kids, remember to pace yourselves...

Matthew - thanks! I've watched you progress ever since this thread was around 200 pages... keep it up!
Watmough - Beautiful watercolour.
Really should be doing work, managed to sneak this in. About an hour, Photoshop CS. Looks like someone forgot to watch the chip pan!

I don't know why I kept bumbling along with this. I learned a few things, though, so it was worth it. Was looking at the big B close-ups that I posted a while ago. His design with shape and line is even better that the rendered aspect.
Only part that came out well was the torso area in the drawing. The rest of them smell of rotting horse guts:) I ran out of time. (not that having more time would magically make me know what i don't know)
Llama, you coming this Wednesday? Send me a mail, I will send the info.
Very delicate, watmough, I like the really subtle control of edge quality from the flowers out of the glass to looking through it. Just enough. |

Howdy everyone, been lurking for quite a while, thought I'd join in the fun. Hopefully I can get up to the standard of everyone else here.
Concept art for a 3D character I did, Grapphire 3, Painter Classic, Photoshop, lack of talent, etc.
Cheers.

Leander thanX for liking my style, makes me feel good...I'm still searching, trying and often failing...BTW love those lips, seems I could touch them, kiss 'em.
Bandados, nope no vector-program just some kalligraphic brushes in Photoshop. Greetzz
Another style exercise:

Francis: Awesome. Through scanning this thread I have become a big fan of yours really.
Great work everybody else also.
I drew a quick sketch with black and white pencils on some midtone paper at school and when got home colored a bit in ps.
Here is the first about 15min sketch and the second took something around half an hour.
