For anyone in the LA area, there's a show called California New Old Masters at Gallery C in Hermosa Beach that looks pretty cool.

It's about a return to realism in the LA art scene.

"In his latest book, "The End of Art," Kuspit suggests that modern art has become "stale and decadent" and the future of modern art lies with the "New Old Masters" movement, which focuses on traditional methods and draws inspiration from the "old master manner" or traditional art."
