Finally did a 'finished' piece!
I've really been busy with school work. Now that i have a week off, i'll be painting alot more and jump back into the speedpainting thread .
Here's a 12 hour piece i did.
A plane-crash in the mountains. The survivors are slowly walking away into the dangerous wilderness...

The only thing that i find unrealistic is that falling snow doesn't create misty effect.

thanks ax--hv . i appreciate it. well i thought that sicne its just starting to snow, it wouldnt create that effect. i think ur right though . ill add the effect.

Yeah, I like it too. Especially the atmophere!
I actually did a paintover but screwed it. sorry...
I think this pic needs some foreground elements and more background mountains in the far distance.
This would add the real "mattepainting-feeling" to it. Imho...
I know there's alot of snow and stuff but the colorsheme is too monoton.
That's something most of my pics suffer from too. It's really hard to get more colors and keep the composition, reality, and so on.
I would make it 16:8 by the way. I think it'S better for the comp. of landscapes. Just my opinion of course
