This is an experimental piece I did to try and push myself as an artist. I usually dont do enviorment paintings like this. It was all painted in Painter and Photoshop. |

The construction looks ok, but it's almost as if the air was the same material as the castle and rock... you rendered it so similarly |

yeah the construction looks good
A couple of things:
Remember to take care that your vertical lines are atleast alligned. At the moment it looks a bit like some of them are jumping in different directions. And as affected said, the sky could use some work. IMO you could get alot more depth if you toned it down to a dark grey. Right now it battles for attention with the building.
Other than that it looks fine! |

Thanks for the comments guy's.
Im aware of messed up vertical line on the futher pilar (is that the right word?), I noticed that a bit late. The mistake was done while rigging up th perspective, but I didn't notice it until after a most of the painting was done. Very sloppy of me...
And you're right about the sky it's to heavy. And looks a bit strange (my girlfriend told me she thought it looked like a giant golfball was rolling towards the castle).
This is not the type of work Im used to do, so it's been a great learning experience. |
