noxi: thanks!
Combustion: thanks alot. Well, I mostly just work with alot of texture brushes in another layer which I "overlay" afterwards. It's all just postpruduction not real painting actually : )
Pringle: wow, love that train. such a cool atmosphere!!
Drunken Monkey: really nice car!

Saw Matrix yesterday and got really inspired by that girl in the red dress : )

watmough, wonderful night scene!

Spooge, see now there's something you should have demonstrated at the gallery. . . bring in a model and have her say "hi! i'm annette and these are my boobs!". Guarenteed sellout within a few mins with a few compliments such as watmoughs Laughing Plus we'd all have to go down to Hawaii and visit this annette, err, i mean. . . . see your work Rolling Eyes But seriously, i would have loved to been there.

Max, Im going to give the overlay textures a shot. It really comprises of some eye grabbing elements. heh, but i would definatly call it painting. . . .just try telling Wyeth that his splatter technique is not painting Smile Oh, btw. . .your last one is fantastic !

ax-hv, I always have to comment on your works. . . . its amazing how all of them turn out so effective.

Pringle, now that is a great painting! I like how you made the people semi transparent with the fog showing through. and the train with the rain texture just hitting the surface. . . .and the blue . . . .ahh hell I love the whole thing!

ok, second pass on the bastien study. Worked it too much, but I still dont have the skill to do take my million strokes and simplify to a couple like all you wonderfully talented p-r-o-f-f--e-s-i-o-n-a--l-s Crying or Very sad

spooge: at least you refrained from making them D-cups like I'm apt to do.

annis: You've improved a lot since you've been here. Be careful when painting mountains though . . . it's easy to make all of your strokes follow the major contour of the terrain, but it can make things look like they were carved from soft clay, instead of eroded over time. Think about which way to apply a stroke so that it not only indicates value and color, but 3D volume.

watmough: really like that one of the house.

not really a speedpaint, but a revision to an old piece that doesn't deserve its own thread (not finished yet):

probably going to re-do the tree entirely, as it's just noise with no shape, and I don't like the trunk or branches anymore. The girl needs work too. Wow, that distant ridgeline connects her knees exactly, doesn't it? Geez.

Tried this in OC but crashed, opened PS and made a better attempt. Took longer than I originally expected.

I haven't posted in a long time, anyone missed me? No one? Shucks...

Mon, Daryl, zhuzhu... awesome talent here.

I've been drawing with pencils and pens lately, Mikko K made me do it. (look forward to our upcoming projects.)

Switching to digital one in a while. Cover for a Fanzine, 1 h on PS 7

Keep it real.
