I'm an artist/painter from Antwerp Belgium
I'm looking for nicknames!!!
A couple of years ago i started to make a list of nicknames.
Have you got a nickname yourself or you know somebody with one.
Also the nicknames of famous people
If you know one or two or three ...
The more the better.
But write why you or someone else got that nickname.

They call me The Big Harf (duh) . Probably because I'm about 1.94 metres tall (About 6 foot 4 or 5 inches for you Yanks.). I haven't got a bloody clue what a harf is.

Not sure if that's what you wanted though.

Hey, i was kidding about DooDoo!

My nick started like this. About 5 years ago me and some other guy were working on a HL mod. He asked me to come up with a name for it using some russian word. So i came up with "Shizo" which is an equivalent of "Skitzo" or short for "Schizophrenic". Very shortly the mod fell through but i really liked the name, so i adopted it as my nickname.

On a side note, a couple of my favorite nicks of other people were Digital Jesus and Turbine Angel.

My sister had a cat named 'Weenie Meat'.
My German Grandparents called my brother John,
'Johann' or 'Honnie' and my younger cousins couldn't
make out 'Honnie', so for years, even after
he got out of the Marines his nickname was 'Honey'.

Today received on a blues forum.

The Artist who was hired to do the "cover-up", Daniele da Volterra, an apprentice of Michelangelo, was nicknamed "Braghettone", which, my Art History courses informed me meant "Mister underwear"
