Really nice pages latly!

Paint to post!

Rolthryn and watmough
hehe, I don't know if I'm really that much "back"! Smile
Have loads of stuff to do for some hobbyist projects.

Been modelling pine trees for 3 weeks now.
Hard thing to do since they all shall be convered with snow.
And minding I do this for the Doom 3 engine its even harder since I have to do high poly meshes for em all

And we're developing a game here at the university in Skvde
which takes up time

And on me sparetime I only draw/paint traditionally!

You guys still makes my day though,
I'm stopping by more often then i post.

cheers

hmm not so sure about the permanency in the gouache medium cause u can't really keep painting over due to the result will be that the underneath layers mixing with the above, snif.
I found a good usage of ink in gouache though, oh well I like to experiment. keep up everyone.

Spam time again.

zhuzhu, nice!
artvandeley, very nice lighting and shapes!
ceenda, looking good, I love the material on that box pinnochio beak guy whatever thing. *shrug*
annisahmad, very nice textures!
Cicinimo, wow, awesome composition and lighting!
Matthew, very nice colors and mood! My Winsor Newton paints don't seem to be very bright at all. By the way, I may appear at your school in a few months to do that entry requirement test. Frightening, no? Smile
Real nice birds there, annis and Weirdowe!

watmough, thanks for the advice. I become too spam crazed at times. Smile

Some ref scribbles.

Guess my scanner didn't appreciate my tones in acrylics.

Zhu, great scene!

Artvandeley, I personally think thats your best.

Ceenda, test?! only a test? I wish my tests look that sexy Smile

Annisahmad, always getting better Surprised

Freebooter, I like that concept update, much much better, and that reminds me I have to get back to my value studies Rolling Eyes

Allpetter, the tree looks awsome! Good luck unwrapping it Laughing

Cicinimo, great posts to such a long absence!

People drawing the birds, fantastic! I gotta take a swing at it (the painting, not the bird Wink )

Don't you just hate when you've started painting and find out after that you forgot to separate the subject from the bg layer Crying or Very sad

edit: terrible crop.

Thank you! Smile
I use 3d studio max.

Combustion!
Thanks mate!
Well, One doesnt unwrap the high poly version when baking out normal maps for doom 3.
I just made a low poly version and unwrapped that.
But all in all the project took some heavy amout of time! Smile

I give up. My color sences are seriously beeing hurt by all the book sketching!

allpetter, ah yes. . . . its been long time since i played doom3, forgot they were using normals. I'd love to try out max 7's new normal mapping. . . . I was struggling with it on max6 when I was still using nvidea's plugins to get normals working, heh the good old days where you couldnt even render it Smile I'm so glad its got much attention over the past year, now all the new apps are including it. Did you get a chance to try out max's new displace paint modifier? Discreet sure loves stealing pixologics goods Smile

P-Rik, feels so weird seeing your paintings so opaque. But you still have your technique though. . . keep the experiment going Rolling Eyes

Why don't we all just disregard the title of this thread for a sec so I can post this. . . speed model that is (hopefully) going to be used in a short im doing.

here's a concept painting i just did in 30 minutes... it was really fun to do. It began as a house in the woods, changed to a spaceship landing, and finally turned into a bunch of motherships Razz
