ok...
So, gotta Cintiq 18xs....nice machine.
Things look okay from where I'm sitting.
But, why does my image print darker than what's on my screen?
And, when I goto Sijun, or wherever I post, and
look at it from another computer, and
look at my work...it's sadly losing quality.
What am I doing wrong? |

If you have not already done so, suggest you look into the subject of monitor color calibration. |

printed work is always darker..on your monitor you are looking at actual light emitting from the screen, the white of your screen is white light not the reflected white of the paper. |

nafa: The cintiq monitor has something for just "monitor calibration" but, not color calibration.
watmough: yeah, I realized that but for example...I've got a piece where I painted some bounce light on a kid's paints right? and I print it...and that shits gone!! LOL!
Or I remember posting an image on Sijun one time...thinking my values were just right....I goto another computer....total crapola.
I'm just looking for consistency. |

yup...always happens to me too...
what i do is add an adjustment layer......up your brightness to about 39% ..depends on the pic...and print it ...that gives me the closest approximation i can get. |
