does anyone have a good link or tutorial or book recommendation about establishing different lenses ? i tried searches on various forums, but didnt turn up anything helpful.

thanks for the links you posted. i was looking for a way of setting up a lens in a constructed perspective, but nevertheless that brought some light into the affair, esp. about the distortion happening.

jfrancis was explaining that there is no "distortion" happening. The concept itself is idiosyncratic.
So, following jfrancis' advice, you could theoretically
1) sketch a scene from "normal" perspective
2) crop down the scene to something tighter
3) re-draw that sketch to a bigger size
There are actual formulas and calculations if you want to be precise, but why bother? _________________ QED, sort of. |

i meant the distortion happening when you're close to sth. like the example with the nose, i alway thought that was an issue of the lens. i wasnt really sure what i meant when i posted the question, but i think it's the barrel/cushion distortion i am after. any hints on how to construct that? |
