Value study ~2h30. I want to 'paint' my value studies from now on instead of doing photoshop 'poster' filter effects.. paid attention to form, planes described by light.. crits welcome (Corel Painter IX) (thats a cotton shirt btw)

Hmm that seemed too hard for me to paint from imagination yet.. settled on values mostly :/ (the sketch was posted in daily drawing thread)

some twisted acrylics Confused

@ fab: that value study looks good! i have found it helpful to also think about composition when doing studies, so you can get better at that at the same time. looking forward to your next pieces Very Happy

Been busy, busy, but have been watching.
Sukhoi - I like, the hipHop Robot
This one not really a speedpainting but didn't want to give its own thread.
It's a Chrismas calendar puzzle (well it need to be cut in pieces, of course), a school picture of class 4.N (a class for Nisser (danish) - christmas gnomes).

Done for Halo2, never used. Or not yet. maybe. It is 10000 px high, and was painted pretty loose, speed painting like, but just at a fine level. So maybe it is a little SP-like. And it is not worth it's own thread. so there Exclamation

Where do you draw that line between more finished work, and this one, which you say is more SP-like? In your finished works (covers for games, for example), although highly detailed, the brushwork underneath is still quite loose, with lots of visible scribbles. So you can also describe those as refined SP, no?

Had this stupid dream a while ago. I was walking down a street, and an old woman was walking towards me. Suddenly I realized that I was dreaming, but then the old woman looks at me with her very empty eyes, and I knew she knew that I was dreaming. "I can see you" she said, and started to walk towards me slowly. I couldn't move, and i was desperately trying to wake up, and then she pulls out a fork! When she was very close to me I finally managed to wake up. First nightmare I had in maybe ten years... Sorry for the incredibly crappy picture, just had to draw it away from my mind.

@ retro: thank you, I agree on composition, cool to see a painting from you! nice colors

@ watmough: thanks you, like the mood in your painting, damn! the next one (river) is great, full digital ?

@ Capt Fred: looks good!

@ annisahmad: like your airplane, well on a clear sky like that there may be more direct sun light, but I dont know really, like the framing

@ Misc: hahaha, that's pretty twisted to dream of someone who knows you're dreaming, if you know you're dreaming you can change the dream, good luck!

Misc i had a very similar dream once. But i like your picture somehow. Very creepy. I would have snatched the fork from the lady and ask her "why the f*ck do you want to stab me for ??"
