First I was gone for months, now I am practically flooding the forums
Been in love with arabic tales since I saw Disney's Aladdin as a kid. (also Prince of Persia 1 & 2 might have something to do with it, but if those two aren't the most frustrating games in the universe I don't know what are ).
This is a concept drawing for an arabic love story of betrayal and courage (Mr Trailer announcer is visiting me, repeat on a low voice "An Arabic love story of Betrayal and Courage" ). I'm pretty satisfied of how it turned out.. though it could use a lil refining here and there.
Environmental mood scribble:
The only reason this scribble exists is to remind me of the mood of the world.. I like to include my stories in images because it's faster to "read" than text (for me as the author. I remember what I was thinking when I painted it by looking at strokes or differencet parts of the image.. hard to explain really). And I don't write that well anyway. Someone please give me 60 million USD so I can stop doing these miserable sketches and direct a feature film 25 million and I'll make a game.. oh wait they've already done that.. kthanxbye _________________ www.TimoVihola.com

love the strong blues you used in both of them. I can't say i particularly like the ground in the first picture, as the flat horizontal plane trailing into the distance is distracting from the figure. but i love the background in the second, excellent job on the clouds, and nice atomspherics on the castle/city, it has a great sense of depth. I love the sense of light in both of them. |

really nice work here bg.
Think some more warm colors in the mood scribble could help it out, just my taste and thought though and maybe not what u are going for, thought I could tell u anyway hehe.
U are really onto something with the drawing, me really likes.
keep up the good work Timo.

This took a while.. 5-6 hours non-stop action and my hand hurts.. Carpal tunnel syndrome I'M HIER! COME OM! Git to da Choppah! ..watched Predator recently, Ahnold is my hero. (actually I have Arnold piece in progress and I'm absolutely stuck with it, might post it in the WIP board - it's about the crusades)
Dark Crystal influence is apparent (especially in the ring clouds)
Max, Thankee!
Matthew: The view outside my window is like the second Siberia.. in comparison these pics look warm as hell Thanks for the crits! btw. great work on the drawing thread! _________________ www.TimoVihola.com
