Sijun Club, an idea that came to me the other day and the main thing is to take care of all those posts that goes down unanswered.

I have always been wanting a kind of rule for feedback given to members, like a main comment and after that one or two comments given to the poster what he and or she likes and or not likes, hmm maybe sounded strange.
Especially for newbies this would be good and in this Sijun Club we could come up with a main post containing links and different things that they need to think of when starting out.
As a member in this Sijun Club the members would be obligated to post in the 0 replied threads, and of course to old timers this main post wouldn't be necessary but I think we could still pop that 0 replied thread cause we all need feedback for our pictures when we are posting.

This is just an idea and I am spawning ideas here with u guys, if u think this sucks and the idea is really bad feel free to slap me around but opinions and ideas about this would be really appreciated.

have a nice day. Smile

Yeah I think it's a good idea. I read through your post twice now and I admit I'm still a bit confused about the main post thing. Would it just be like an "intro to Sijun club" post or something? Or is it something that each member needs to make?

Anyway, yeah, you could start a club, just a list of members that sign up for it and then have some rules, like you need to give a certain amount of feedback for each thing you post or something like that. I'm not sure how easy it would be to enfoce, but perhaps we can just trust each other to do it. And it could be a general rule (again, I don't know how you'd enforce it) to try and post in places where there aren't alot of replies, esp the 0 posts. And if you could get someone who could do this on board, you could maybe have a little icon displayed next to user names who are part of the club, so that members can know to crit their stuff.

I know that on this one writing forum I go to, there is a system like this. Seems to work out just fine. Anyway, I hope I was easy enough to understand.

I don't know, I don't see that many unanswered threads in the Work In Progress or Finished Work forums.

Personally, I try to post some feedback whenever I want to post some of my work. I appreciate the feedback that I receive when I receive any so whenever I want to post something, I do the effort of browsing other's work and post some feedback.

That said I wouldnt mind seeing a new all-in-one painting thread similar to speedpainting, that would be more focused on critique/comments (and possbily of a 'lower' skill level than the speed paint thread). I learn as much if not more reading critiques of others work than mine, and browsing the speedpaint thread is a lot easier and convenient than a hundred different 'work in progress' threads. Even if I felt like giving some constructive thoughts in the the actual speedpaint thread I wouldnt because it would just look out of place, what with the 'skill level' there I wonder why its called a speedpaint thread at all . Embarassed

Mega Muffin, the main post would be information for newbies where to find tutorials and what to think of when starting out.

Think I will abandone this idea though cause there need to be more enthusiasm to make a thing like this work
I really should try to involve myself less with everything in the forum.

Thanks for likeing the idea Mega Muffin, I really appreciate it. Smile
have a nice day

Bah... it's a good idea, and you shouldn't be discouraged by people not being too 'enthusiastic' about it. Go for it!
