Hi,

I wanted to know what is a good art reference book for me, I'm currently 16 and I wanted to learn to draw the forms of the human body and the muscle structures. So far I got my bro to borrow me Dynamic Anatomy by Burne Hogarth - revisted and expanded. The book has really nice explanations of the body and the detail muscles, but it lacks figures and the female body.

If anyone could recommend me some books, I would gladly appreciate it.

-Thanks

Here are 2 books that I use. You should also get a basic college level anatomy book. Artist books tend to show off the artist talents while neglecting detailed anatomy info.

1) Drawing Female Anatomy by Giovanni Civard

2) Drawing Human Anatomy by Giovanni Civardi ISBN 0289800897
