I used to work for GW as an in-house illustrator (95-99) so yes, I've done lots of 40k and Warhammer art Laughing

As for the website - I know, I keep meaning to do it, but one thing or another comes up (usually work) and I forget.
Hopefully some time soon, maybe

Fascist looking????

The imagery is based on Games Workshops 40K background - I don't think its political at all.
If its anything it's religous - albeit in a sci-fi dark brooding universe.
Remember he is supposed to be an 'Inquistitor' - they're not what you would call 'nice' people.
(think medieval religous orders but in space)

I didn't create the background to 40K I just illustrate it Laughing

sorry... Smile
i just mean with the eagle staff-thing in the background and the sword and the skulls and crosses...not to take away from the artwork....this must have taken you a very long time to do.

Awesome work. Very Happy

I have to admit, I was always more a fan of the 40k illustrations than I was of the actual game itself. The art in the CODEX books was amazing.

On an odd note, and as you hinted at working there 95-99, do you know what ever happened to John Blanche who used to work there? He did some incredibly detailed pieces for the original 40K universe, but seems to have disappeared, along with his art. Sad

Very cool. A+. I just started playing Dawn of War and reconized the floating skull right away, cool game, great art. I think I found 15 skulls in this painting, hehe.
