The flatness is also accentuated by the change of plane near the bottom of the image. With the change in perspective, it becomes obvoius that the city is a projection of an image onto the ground rather than actual buildings - you get the same sort of effect in some of the older flight sims which used satellite photos for the landscape. It looks pretty realistic up really high - but when you get close and there's no perspective, it's easy to distinguish.

the pud is back.. welcome. I always get inspired to be a little looser when I look at your and matthews stuff. Not make such a production out of things.

Pud', welcome back into the posting, hope u will post more

allpetter, thankx

thanks all u other guys for the comments

Someone asked me for a finished piece, this one is not finished but it has a more finish to it anyway and I worked a bit longer on it.
Too many problems with the structure so it will be archived in the recycle bin.

Capt.Fred, very nice, really simplified

octavian, eventhough, the car looks pretty cool

Summer pudding & Spooge: hee! nice colors!

Mitsui: I like your latest Smile

Matthew: Yeah! That's very nice pic! Maybe some soft edges here and there would make it really killer? Smile but on the other hand that wouldn't neccessary fit to the style.

Way quick, maybe 15 minutes... Yet I'm more satisfied with it than the longer ones. I should also not stay up until 7:50AM or so and then realize I have painted yet the previous day - got it done before sleep, but man was I sorely tempted to just hit the sack....

Mat, the last one was great! I had to double check that you posted it (so used to the quick speedy's) but its definatly turning out well.

Spooge, I just noticed how shitty my values were after you pointed it out. . . . .so i'm still working on it.

Allpetter, your lake scene is simple wonderful!

Major proportion problems here. . . . . gouache.
