this is a simple sketch i did: i didnt do the decals cause i suck at drawing stars and it got somewhat discolored when i took the photo, so the blur on the left landing gear is just light reflecting off or something

good attempt all the same |

and on the stars, how do u add perspective to show its wrapped around the nose? and the nose was somewhat fat in the reference pic, but i think i over did it a bit too much......
plus, on that drawing stuff, i draw differently than most ppl: i cant do that skeleton outline, then erase around the outline, then make the full plane, then make the details and shading; i just go right to the point and sketch it line by line as it is in the pic btw, heres the reference i used:
oooo i see now, the nose aint lined up with the tail _________________ 赤竜

The nose/front of the plane looks like a different shape then the references picture. On your drawing it looks kind of "fat". It's a good start though, if you can correct that part it will look even better. |

thats right its a different shape..
use a 4H pencil to put the lines in, then fill with a heavier pencil |

what i meant by distorted was fat and not aligned......its stilll the same basic shape
and i use a mechanical pencil cause regular pencils piss me off......i have to keep sharpening them and i dont have a sharpener; therfore no regular pencils _________________ 赤竜 |

less excuses, more listening. You wont improve until you learn to do a proper lay in, as opposed to starting with the fine details. Start light, with basic shapes. Good luck. |

i cant do that unless i have a step by step instruction on that exact plane....i have a disorder that keeps me from going "outside of the box" one might say....im a linear thinker (i think thats what its called) so i go strait to the point and screw the useless crap _________________ 赤竜 |

ummmm. I think you have a disorder that keeps you from admiting your own faults...
Anyways, using a grid to draw would help you. You could go through and draw the picture, box at a time, directly. Another thing that might help, is if you have an extra of the picture, try drawing directly on the picture just to familiarise yourself with it. Another thing you should keep in mind is what you are actualy drawing. _________________ I just realised that my screen name is Wagner, but my last name is Wagner, I'm not making any references to anyone. |
