Two images I made these last two weeks.
The first one, "The Devil's Lair" was an attempt to mimic Liberto and Seung Ho, with the use of hard-edged and textured brushes. It was done in Photoshop and took me 2 1/2 hours.
The second one, #Fantasy Landscape" was done mostly in Painter. I am trying to practice landscape painting, although I still have a long way to go. This one, opposed to the first image, is a more detailed work and took me way longer. I was aiming for a more pastel/oil like feeling.
Constructive criticism welcome.

Nice - the crimson fog is really dramatic. Composition is nice and graphic - if quite flat. (planar) - classic balanced "yin/yang" composition - I use it all the time - it works...
To my eye, the composition on the second image with the towers is less sucessful - it's alwasy awkward when such a strong verical is placed in parallel to the edge of the canvass. Why not try looking up, or down, so there's foreshortening - so the edge of the tower isnt razor vertical...and/or, rotate the POV so the towers are closer to lined up...but you know,,, looking downwards would really make that interesting town down there more cool....
anyway, nice pics!
