I know you have a lot of great art here, and you cant critique every single one... but I really could use some pointers

Hey, slow down... this place is often at a low turnover. Getting comments is no garauntee.

The perspective is great, no problems that I can see. It does look extremely filtered though. To be honest I would have to say that I hate the effect you have added to it, remember it's just my opinion though. What was the intention of colouring it? Were you just kind of experimenting with your drawing?

Let us know what sort of feedback you were looking for and what you are intending to create. I'll drop by again if you want some more specific feedback or help.

I knew I wanted it coloured, but I was more or less fooling around... I prefer drawing archetictual stuff and landscapes

Nice bit of perspective [envy]...I don't like the filter either, I guess because it flattens the image (same sharpness foreground and background)...would lose the saturated colours in the planets (assume by texture that the yellow one is a planet too)...my two cents.

Oh: as mentioned here a few times, those of us with monitors smaller than the Pacific always appreciate reasonably sized images, so we don't have to scroll two blocks to see the other end...thought I'd say it again (since obviously it bears repeating)...

lol i wouldn't say that i hate the texture/style your painting with it just looks really preliminary. The planets and basically everything in the sky don't exactly help anything i think though they could if redone perhaps, with maybe some darkness to them? like a side hidden by shadow? Also depth in the starfield couldn't hurt. But again this is a beginning and I think a good one, much can be done from here, keep at it hope to see more. I guess it's not always fitting but I like the scrolling through the image it gives me a sense of really looking at something with real life perspective rather than taking in a panoramic shot all at once.

In space light is very polarized: either really light or really dark. For example, http://www.hq.nasa.gov/alsj/a11/as11-40-5874.jpg.

The right wing of buildings should be in shadow - the only light they get is reflected from the earth and whatever they put off themselves.

Something like this, with more work on the diffused light from the buildings onto the street below.



Also, the earth has lots of clouds - you can see lots of white stuff from space. And from where the earth and moon are in relation to the asteriod(?) and sun, they should be half in shadow, and larger.
