Spooge >> Shocked That Bond concept art is amazing!!!! You say the design is from sombody else... so, for a job like that, do you overpaint on a 3D pic because the design need to be sharp and respected by artist conceptor ... Very curious about it.

Anyway, You are an illustration Master!

Tried to do some personal concept design... Confused Hem...

Neff, liked the black guy you did about a post back. Clean. and represented well.

Matt, I see you're fighting traditional media. . . im having trouble with watercolour/gouache as well. . . . . for me it never looks right from the start and when I go back and touch it up it slowly turns into mud. I dont know where you got the balls to paint on a 3m wide board, but i hope one day i can follow you footsteps Very Happy oh, did i miss the obvious? good to see you back Exclamation

Spooge, I really want to start on the value study (warm and cool greys) but im tied up with a crazy amount of work:( Your a man of no sleep, so maybe i'll squeeze in 5 min before not going to bed Crying or Very sad oh yeah, kick ass bond concpets!!

ah what the hell, poeple are posting traditionals, so I might as well throw in a quicky as well. . . .acrylic on a tiny tiny board.

Spooge: Your pictures to me are like Energy bars. Man so good. Cause when I don't feel like painting or just want to get into the mood I look at your art and instantly I am inspired. THanks for posting.

Both these are hour speed paintings. No refs

I had trouble getting the lighting right, it still doesnt work well, and I was running out of time so I tried to add the robot for a focal point. I think I had 4 minutes left when I added the robot. You win some, you lose some.

I've never painted ice before so this probaly is all wrong, but I wanted to give it a go before I paint ice scenes with references later this week. Yea the little man is pretty weird.

Combustion, Many thanks there. Yea I really like watercolor media nowadays and the challenge it brings, can't really cheat with that tecnique. Working big can be good when simplifying and then later go for some detail with it, I can really recommend to work in that 3 metre size. thanks again. Smile

NeFF, nice to see u experiment with another style, looks cool.

spyroteknik, looks really good.

see you

Thanks guys, glad you like the creature concept.

Omi-kun<>paint at higher res, and then resize your elements, so they are more defined, and integrated tighter with the rest of the concept, especially for the lighting. I'll post an example later sometime : )

Here is one of the many concepts I did for Eidos Interactive early this year. I'll post the final high-res version sometime in here . . . this one was an early layout for color, lighting, etc. On the final version I re-did the foreground, and added more objects. No ref on this concept . . . just started with perspective lines, rest is really made up as you go and paint .
