Well its kind of a gift, I m gonna apologize rightaway if it looks cheesy, but well i wanted to depict her like all the statues around that place I remembered from Florence next to the Museum in a diffuse creamy white lighting.

We didnt really shoot photo for that image, but i skimmed through our album to get references.

It took an insane amount of time =/ and never have I loved and hated a picture that much. I have sworn several times to never touch digital again and go abstract forever. haha

At some point I was almost ready to forgive George Lucas, but overall trying to make the lighting coherent with such different references was fun. Call me a geek but i love radiosity.

also a little try at blending 3D and 2D

3d render + rough

thx you for listening, bye =P

I don't suppose you did the original render in UnrealED 2.0 (or whatever variation came packaged with UT2k4) did you?

Looks very nice, btw.

Oh this is really nice. The bride (?) is a really sweet painting. It seems in such a good natured mood. The sleeves on her clothing look a little odd in the first and third pose - i wonder if they shouldn't really slide down to her elbow there.

Who is she?

On the 3d image it seems that the panels look a little too random and cluttered.

The second composition of the bride is my favourite, but getting a properly lit reference would have gone a long way to get that creamy white light look happening. It's got a cool graphic novel style to it, but not qute the majesty of Florence. But as long as the missus is happy Very Happy

Thank you for taking the time to comment

It has been slightly tweaked according to various critics and ideas I received

novacaptain : You are most likely right about the sleeves, however I reckon I was more concerned about the surface of skin/hand on display rather than the realistic behaviour of the clothes.

Swarm : Merci, je pense que tu parles des Symphonies en blanc, haha en les regardant suite ton commentaire j'etais plutot dprim en voyant la richesse et toute l'ambiance cre par les texture de Whistler.
