I guess the solution would be for us to move to a nice low cost of living, low tax third world country, so we could lower our costs and compete...
Actually, for me, just moving out of L.A. would probably help. But so far, I'm surviving. What can you do? Not much (aside from the moving thing). _________________ April

Your right Aprillee, this is the world we live in and we have to deal with it. No amount of whining about "amateurs" or "newbies" giving their work away will stop them, we can't deny the right of those from developing countries to compete.
So we suck it up, adapt to the changing markets and move on.
There are new markets developing via the same internet that allows/encourages our competition, so we search em out and try our luck.
Remember; multiple sources of income is the key to freelancing, so we should be looking for new markets constantly. |
