The textures look great! Really like your style. Only thing I have trouble defining is what the ground is made of in the first pic, (grass, snow?) |

Great work, you're starting to hit the nail in my head with these digital pics.
Agree with misc about the ground, I think it's little too bright to be grass.
If it's snow, some darker areas like rocks showing through would make the snow stand out more. Also brother, that foremost abomination with the axe, is a little too dark for that perspective and the cannon's wheel to the left seems to be floating a bit.
The knight rocks ass and the dark elf works as well. The drawing is suberb as usual, and the values and other shit are coming together nicely too.
See ya on the weekend. |

Good work freebooter. The elf shows that you have really taken a giant leap in drawing faces. The folds of the cloth he's wearing are also convincing.
Keep it up! |

Great speedpaitings!
1# I love the way you made the army, even though it is so rough you can feel the suspense and dynamic. The way that the entire image is so white/low contrast, gives it a foggy feel. Though at some places there you have made objects appear stronger (ruining the fog effect), at first it looked a bit peculiar and drastic, but after a while it started to make sense. Maybe the army is made a bit too quickly
2# Very nice texture. I think his cape has a rock feel to it and that makes the image feel like a miniature figure instead of a real night. Also the pose seems very fixed; even though that is a common feature in images I would like to see some less clich to make it feel more real.
3# Truly beautiful. At this moment I think it works perfectly and I have no suggestions to further improvement of it (other than retouch a big of roughness). Amazing texture! |

Misc & Mikko K > That's not supposed to be neither snow nor grass, but just a texture. But really I didn't think about what it was supposed to be..
diced > Well I had little time to do these illustrations and what I originally had in mind for was way over my skill. In fact these are based on a miniatures hence the cliche pose and composition. I didn't want to go extravagant with these..
trax, arttu and all of you guys thanks for comments and crits. |
