*Background by allpetter*
I'm struggling with the coloring here :/ One thing that will be added is holographic ads in different places in the air around her. Like a text circling her with A nike slogan etc. Is there any easy way to do something like that in for example illustrator, or do I need a 3d program for that? Here's the b/w sketch too:

I like the idea
And the character is pretty nice!
But the background is even better.
Now wait!?!
That is, because its mine!?!
First thought was...
*charming*
Second thought...
*I better learn this numbskull a thing or two*
Third thought...
*angry*
Just because I'm not known,
it's not "okey" to use my work this way.
I was about to ignore this, and let it pass!
But I fell I deserve some some sort of credit!
minding the blatantly ripoff.
<|Mine<>Yours|>
The original art!
Don't do it again.
You learn less.
comprende???
ps: I made the original art in 15 minutes. ds: _________________ Fru Tina Kttet

Would you beleive me if I said none of the background would be used at later stages other than maybe sampling color(and of course inspiration!)? I'm truly sorry for not mentioning this or posting the image in this state at all. I feel so stupid now :/
Here's the composition of the final piece, which of course wont use any of your art(probably very similar colors in the background though):
Here's another pic I(Feng Zhu/Spooge demon) have been using for help with coloring and lightning:

As I stated above...
*charming*
And I pretty much knew that you were only after the colors.
But even so, I was looking for a smaller credit up there.
It would only be fair.
Worse things has happened to me,
beeing a texture artist for different mods for games.
One can't be to carefull.
I do beleave you now.
And to me this is a case closed.
About an easy way on how to add the holographic thingys.
Try to paint them flat and thereafter skewing them accordingly to your desired perspective.
happy hunting n good luck
cheers ![Wink](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) _________________ Fru Tina Kttet |

THIS IS SOOOOOOOO WACK!!! YOU CAN'T AT LEAST PREFACE YOUR POST WITH WHO YOU "SAMPLED" THE ORIGNAL ART FROM??? YOU THOUGHT THE OWNER WOULDN'T NOTICE????
Wow...has sijun become a place for art cannibals?
You gotta give credit where credit is due...no matter how small. Before I scrolled down I EVEN KNEW you stole this guys bg and Spooge's color scheme for the "Feng" pic. But, you weren't even gonna credit Spooge either before somebody blew the whistle?
Why the hell did you even post??
I wonder where the character design came from??
Study your own and get cha own...wanksta. |

Yeah, keep kicking downwards. All that matters to me is that allpetter considers the case closed. http://forums.sijun.com/viewtopic.php?p=353588&highlight=#353588 (Urbatect=me) As for the Feng/Mullins pic I have to say that I'll proudly experiment with themes found around me and in work by others. I am sure the "hard light from above creating a more general light from below" has been done a million times before. |

I have never actually seen something like this happen until now. I am speachless. Allpetter, nice work btw.
apparently people don't know what copyright really means. those of us who actually spent years at college (among those years, studying copyright laws) would realize how big of a deal this actually could be.
best of luck to you all ![Confused](images/smiles/icon_confused.gif) _________________

Busted! - serious though just ripping someone else art is kinda lazy and counter productive to you own learning and progression, i think allpetter handled that really well i would have been well more pissed. |

Important note there.
To really learn anything, one has to face what one cant do/create sometime down the road.

Beeing humble as I am really helps alot when things like this happen.
One has to know the true intention of one and anothers actions to able to judge somewhat fair!
What we see here probably should be one of the most important things when creating art. Maybe should make a tutorial on how to avoid different kinds of flaming.
I should really be of drawing some muscles and anatomy right now...
Only me and god knows in what way i do this!
cheers guys _________________ Fru Tina Kttet |

Inspired by allpetter, feng and mullins among others. I tried skew and other transform tools but couldnt get the "round" projection that I wanted. I'll fire upp adobe illustrator to see if it can be attained there instead.
Once again sorry about the background theft. It was never my intention to steal anything that would be used later when closing in on a more finalized version.
In my normal field(industrial design) its pretty common that you use "image boards" or mood boards" containing images of products or anything else that has elements in it that you in some way want to incorporate or keep the feel of in your own product. I see this as one of those things, and it was very stupid to post anything without mentioning this. It truly shows my lack of understanding for the art community as well as lack of common sense on my part. I truly regret posting it, and will be very clear with this kind of thing in the future. Thanks alot for being so understanding allpetter. |

Watmough: cheers!
behemoth2029:
In photoshop
1: Press "T" for type.
2a: Then type your desired text
2b: Example: "I am the king of the world" (titanic)
3: When you write a text and press enter the text tool will be deselected.
4: Press "T" for type again.
5: When selecting any tool in photoshop, it will get it's own "taskbar".
The taskbar is found right under (File, Edit, Image, Layer, Select, Filter, etc)
6: For the text tool there should be an icon displayed as a,
"skewed T" with an arc/bow right bellow it.
It's somewhere in the middle of the taskbar.
And it's rather small.
7: Press it and alot of neat features will appear.
Still this attribute is rather limited, but my guess would be that it would do for your desired effect.
Why didn't I just take a print screen? doh...
cheers ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ Fru Tina Kttet |
