Here we go. The saga continues. . ..

I went to pick up my renewed visa today(I have to get an extension every 3 month--for one extra month only. Then, I have to go to Hong Kong to renew for another 3 months). I brought the camera and just snapped away. There were two super sexy chicks that even Tina gawked at, but the picture didn't turn out. Oh well.

Onto the show:

It's a Jade Dragon triad! Heheh. Nope. Just a group of dudes walking around.

The rolled up pants with slippers is quite the fad here.

One of the busier streets.

Garbage collector. Note the underwear store in the back. Asian women are VERY selfconscious about having a nice body(far more so than American girls). In Asia, you see ads for breast implants, miracle bras, and body-shaping underwear EVERYWHERE. Asian women are naturally slender, so you almost never see anyone here overweight. Even Tina's kinda meaty compared to the average girl here.

Trendy clothing store on the bottom, a mess on top.

Recognize Wong-Yuee from a previous photo-session? She was working today. And Tina beaming at the camera.

3 wheel taxis again.

Intersection.

Uh... The bus gets a facial. . ..(that's for all you pimps).

Intersection again.

Traffic cops.

Tina looking cool.

Holy crap! Who's that weirdo?

Tina's sister in law(wife of her older cousin). She is the manager at Tina's shop, and a cutie too.

Bwahahahah! They made Arnold dress up as the Terminator for this ad!

More silly Arnold ads. These are everywhere! There's like, 6 or 7 variations of them!

OMG! Tina pointed this couple out for me to take a picture of. I havn't seen fashion sense this bad since....EVER.

Arcade. 2D fighting games are the rage here.

People here hang their clothes to dry instead of using dryers. Saves electricity.

Dudes squatting around waiting for someone to hand them a job. You see a lot of that here.

Whoa, it's that weirdo again! People keep asking me if I'm a Christian because they have no idea what an ankh is. No, I didn't chop my hair off--it's tied up in a ponytail(it's starting to get really hot here).

Inside Tina's restaurant. It's extremely rare for a young woman to own 2 businesses. They see her as an aggressive, go-getter modern woman. But, they have no idea she's actually the sweetest person who would rather sit at home reading books than doing business. Heheh. I introduced her to Lord of the Rings, and she's almost done with the third book!

Tina posing at the restaurant's counter.

I told you they are taking over!

This ad has better design than the usual crap you see here.

For you people that are thinking about traveling.

More hanging clothes.

Check out this little fella.

Tina buying veggies for dinner(she is a kickass cook. Her cooking is better than most restaurants).

More buying action.

"Hmmm...lettuce or the tomato?"

A typical street.

And that concludes part 2 of Rob's adventure in China!

Lettuce or tomato? I'd pick the zipper.

Did I just say that aloud? I'm sorry.

Anyway, Tina is a beautiful girl, China looks like a fascinating place to explore, and although I don't normally like dogs much, that dirty little dog is the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I wish I could travel there one day.

Maybe some time by the end of the week I'll be posting my "Sijun Geographic: Gimbal on assignment" picture spread.

Weee.. coolness.
I like seeing those unique things like "arnold ads" or "garbage collector" or "hanging clothes out of skyscrapers' windows" it's all good!

I'm gonna have to take a walk around Atlantic City tomorrow.. or later. You'll see things like ghetto apartments right next to expensive hotels, weird people i see at the bus station and so on hehe.
I wish i could be invisible, it would make taking photos much easier.

Man, I've been wanting to go to China. Now, I must.

If only America could do the bike thing. That's the coolest.

More!

Those are great man...I was checking them out here at work and I have people coming up saying...ooooo...what's that of?

I always wanted to visit China. I have a feeling people would take one look at my light gray eyes and oust me though.

I speak a little Spanish, French, Japanese and Korean…but no Mandarin or Cantonese. So the language barrier would likely find my ass in prison. ;-P

Nonetheless, I would still love to go.

There's people from all over the world here. Can anyone else post some pictures of where they are from?

I'll have to do the same sometime soon.

Ok, I'm totally stomped. You guys are all like, "Damn, I wanna go!" and I have no idea why. Maybe it's because I'm the kind of dude that would rather go see Europe than China?

-HoodZ- Those ads are for consumer electronics products.

Gimbal8-- LMAO! Don't worry, Tina has that effect on men. Everytime we go out, she gets looks everywhere. She's actually quite famous in Fuzhou, with men from top of the political foodchain to filthy rich business men trying to woo her. But the silly girl ignored them all and picked some weirdo artist guy.

Please post! Mmmm. Florida beaches...

Shizo- dude, if I could be invisible, the pictures I take would be VERY different.

mythwarden-- Nah, they won't mess with you too much. If anything, they look up to foreigners. They might try to cheat you out of your money though.

Not to temp anyone or anything, but if you are a decent looking foreigner(or even not so decent), you WILL get chicks throwing themselves at you. In fact, you will get stunningly beautiful chicks throwing themselves at you. Why? They want to get out of China. And yes, MAJORITY of the girls here are gold-diggin' whores. I'm not kidding. Don't let that "soft Asian female" exterior fool you.

Tina is the extremely rare example of a non-materialistic and romantic girl. The average girl in China is NOTHING like her. I'm damn lucky I met Tina.

EviLToYLeT-- they serve the typical Big Mac stuff, but also their own versions of chinese styled stuff--kinda like American fastfood with a Chinese twist. Nothing too exotic though, since it's still an AMerican franchise.

MoleculeMan-- oh man, that would be a BLAST! We would walk around and freak people out! We can all squat in street corners and paint on our laptops with a Wacom! Hahahaha!

it's all about the money money money. Women in China have a few options in life, they all start by studying very very very hard to get into university cuz that guarantees a job. 90% of them don't make it so there isn't much exiting out there for females and most of the "pretty" ones are hardly motivated and would rather be someone's mistress. It's hard to find such independant young women like Tina these days in China. And she speaks English too? wow.

Unfortunately I don't have many Florida beach scenes containing hot babes in the sun or anything. Most of the beach scenes I currently have were to photograph shore birds. In fact almost all my photos are void of people now that I think of it, so be prepared for some nature photography.

Maybe next week I should go out and take some pics in downtown Palm Beach, some beach scenes, and the cool lighthouse in my town.
