This is my new design. It is completely made of steel, rusted with my special formula, and lights ran behind it. Tell me what you guys think of it. You can see more at c2ilights.com. I have a new site on the way, so check back often to see new designs.

Rob

Why is nobody commenting on this. I know that it is a graphic design forum but I thought you all would enjoy this piece.

pretty cool. I like the surface of the metal. Living in New Mexico I've seen about a billion Kokopelli artworks and designs, I would of liked to see a bit more of a personalized, unique interpretation of him in terms of design.

Thanks for your comments. This is my freehand of a kokopelli, and coming from arizona you probably have seen a billion of them. I think I'm going to make a series of them, so hopefully I can get a little bit wild with them. The only problem is running the lights I have to leave my self enough space for them.

Oh man. The kokopelli has attained a level of perhaps hyper-kitsch here in the southwest. My grandma has three kokopelli refrigerator magnets, just to give you an idea of its commonality.

I do appreciate the surface work, and the lighting is pretty cool. You have to understand, though, that this is sort of the equivalent of a Seattlite like you traveling to Oklahoma and seeing a totem pole or some kid with a tribal tattoo on his arm.

I don't really understand your analogy with the seattlite and oklahoma. Are you saying that because of geographic location its not right for me to make a kokopelli. Because that design is very popular up here in the northwest also. Regardless, I just wanted some clarification on your comment. Thanks

I like it alot. The rust is great, love the coloring. The head could maybe use some more light to define its shape a bit better.

What Impaler means I think is that if something is so common where you live, you cant appreciate it as much anymore, if at all, because youre so overflooded with it.
If there would kokopellies everywhere I go, Id probably not find it very interesting anymore. Got me?

put kokopelli into google and you will find out more about them. But even if you don't know about it you can still appreciate the art.
