The biggest thing I can see right now is that you should spend a little time cleaning up what you have already. If you are going for realism i suggest taking some of the blur out and tidying up the scene. Then go back into it and add the details, different textures on the different surfaces, the dirt and discoloration, blood, metalic shine, and what not. Great work so far, I think you are lacking a lot of the detail present in the sketch, but as far as a concept painting goes I think it is looking good.
One other thing that sticks out is the chest plate in the painting seems off, perspective wise. I like the way it looks in the drawing, but the painting looks like you are trying to show part of it, and it seems like an unnatural angle, especially for a metalic plate. |

math: yeah I guess it might look better with some flesh, and thanks.
jrwells: I'll clean it up and go into detail. u'r right about his chest plate, I fixed it back to the sketch one. thanks a ton for your tips! |

I agree with what the others said. Also, it looks like you added a sleeve, (or made it's skin blue?) I think that part looked better in the sketch.
They're awesome though, I think you should go back and finish the line version, with maybe some kind of watercolors or something. I think the line version has more character, but that's probably because the painting isn't done. |
