Did this all in Photoshop 7 with no references. My first abstract and my first time messing with custom brushes. Custom brushes are sweet. I feel OK about it.

it looks like a forest fire. Or something like that. Some massive clouds and a tree, but thens there's that ball att the bottom that doesn't make sense.

To tell you the truth there isn't much to be shared, I basically messed around with the round brush and made some weird shapes and combined them with it. The end result = some speckly stuff. Most of the well rendered and detailed parts didn't involve custom brushes anyways.

one simple improvement you could make to the picture is to combine the black and grey better in the bottom left corner, you can kinda see the line where the two meet. I see why it is like that, but the edge could be more rugged.
