Hello! Just made this initial sketch. I'm trying to make it look very dynamic and with lots of movement, and I'd like to have some c/c on the perspective and pose. I'm thinking of an airport scenario, or something similar, and I'll probably add some bystanders too.

Maybe a baggage conveyor thing next to her? Know what I mean? |

Maybe a metal detector behind her, going off throwing off some secondary colors from the lights.

Crap crap crap. I'm giving up on this one. I wasn't sure what to paint, so I just kept on painting without no particular thoughts, which always end up looking like shit for me. Tried playing around with textures, but since I know shit about that, it naturally ended up looking like a pile of previous mentioned substance.
Since I started a thread I felt that I at least had to post how it looked before I gave up. Anyway, thanks for commenting.

The first sketch had a real sense of urgency to it, and I feel some of that has been lost in the last version... I have a hard time not killing my sketches' spontaneity, so I may not be the best to advise you, but here goes...
First of all, don't give up on it - I think you're just getting started here! I can't tell what your light sources are - if you pick a few, and get some shadows and highlights, that may help here. I also kind of wish she were off the ground a bit, landing after a leap perhaps. Hope to see more work on this... :p _________________ Visionbin |

Hi, thanks for the comment. You're absolutely right. i lost the composition and the spontaneity... Guess that's why I got so frustrated. I'll go back to the sketch and try again. |

Ok, here's a new try... I've tried to stick to my values this time.. I like this version better, but maybe it's just because I'v been more "in command" when doing it.. Also, does it look better when flipped? I thinks so, but maybe thats just because I've been staring at the picture for too long?
