i agree.. i really enjoy the style, i remember it from a while ago in fact i think it was posted somewhere before... it's very linear... hope the coloring maintains all the little planes!

A most excellent drawing. I like the first three very much, but all that dynamic movement in the line quality is going away under the digital paint in the fourth one. Although I suppose (hope) you'll replace it later.

More or less a very good piece(s), mostly more.

yeah...i think that i have to go back and re-work the highlights and shadowed areas...maybe a secondary light source?

I think its turning out great! So thats a self portrait right?
It definitely needs more light coming on the right side. Your first few pics saw the shadowing hitting your face just right. Then it lost that in the last image. I think its awesome otherwise Very Happy

Awesome. You've got a very solid style. Very nice.

As was mentioned above, you made good progress on the painting, but lost a lot of definition in the fourth one. I think you have the basic colors down, but you just need to reestablish the values and shadows like in the second/third one. I'm sure it'll come out nicely.

I'm commenting mainly to push this post to the top of the list agiain. It deserves to be there, so the new kids that are just learning and pop in on this forum can see a real quality piece of work.

PLEASE post more of your work. It really is most excellent.

Hrmmmm... Not sure what to say here. The sketch is so wonderful, I get the same urge you did - color it right away! But then I feel like a lot of what made the sketch so great is getting lost... Maybe if it's colored in a more comic-book style? Then you won't have to discard the fantastic line work.

I'll have to think on this for a bit.

I love the original drawing! You don't want to clean something like that up in my opinion....the delicate, internal lines indicating planar changes make the drawing exceptional.
