I finished this. I used the moon I'd done eariler as a background.
Done in PS6 on a wacom. Comments?

looks great. cant think of any bad things. Was thinking about what it would look like if you added stars, but there is too mught light generated from teh firey stuff anyway.

Thanks! Any other crits? I'm guessing it's so stunningly brilliant that words escape ( don't think so ), or it's soooo bad that, again, words escape (hope not! ). So, please...crit me.

Hi there.
I think it looks really cool.
I don't have any crits as such - but it would be nice if you added a story in the picture - like a little spacecraft in the foreground or something... it could also be nice because you could make it cool blue on the shadow side to get some color contrast in the picture... it's very red Smile

But again... neat pic!

This is I guess just my preference, but I find it way too tall.

You've got a lot of interesting stuff going on at the bottom, and the composition would be much easier to look at if you removed the upper part and kept only the lower part with the mountains and the big low contrasty moon in the BG.
