ok i've made this using reference, but the reference didn't have any legs either. I made it a long time ago and i have decided to give her legs, i'm kinda new to anatomy so can you please help. There's supposed to be a knife on her hands too . C&C are also welcome.
cheers
edit: This pic and everything i done so far with it it's based on sketch work i did a long time ago, which was scanned and then processed with photoshop using a mouse.

mm i've been studying anatomy lately.. try to draw them yourself first in the position that you want them. since you already have the upper body, you can already get a feel for where her weight is... try the pose yourself if you're not sure. after that, it'll be easier to help out with anatomy.

it's kinda silly looking my self in the mirror in that pose, and it's really difficult to do the female legs with a reference of my legs , i managed to do the final part of the torso and a little bit of the legs. I also made her taller and made her arms shorter, i think it looks ok so far.
C&C are always welcome.
As i said i have no reference of that pose, so any help with the rest of the legs is also welcome.

Draw the legs in as best you can, then we have something to work from.
It's hard to point out mistakes or helpful suggestions when we cant see anything ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

ok, i've done this so far ...it's not over yet , i need to do the shadows of bones and muscles a bit better, and there are a few other things to correct. What do you think ? It seems to me that the upper body shading has nothing to do with leg shading ..oh well i think i'll have to do it again (the upper body shading that is )

She looks a little short.
I've done a quick over paint and added some ideas you might like.
I've made her hips larger and darkened up her face, some of it's quite subtle.
Hope this helps

I love the additions you made there feral. I know that she is short heh that's why i'm planning to make her legs taller, but i really like what you did with her hips and face, i think i'll stick to those ideas. The problem is that i don't have a Wacom and what i did so far, i've done it with mouse. |

If you compare them (your's and mine) side by side you'll see better what I've done.
I stretched her so she is taller - I dont think you need redraw the legs just stretch em'.
Good job with just a mouse - I don't know how anyone can draw with a bar of soap ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

I use a Wacon Intuos 2 tablet - they're quite expensive but then I use it in my work so I needed a good one. |

I really like how the overrpaint went, however from the overpaint I have a few adjustments that my make it look a bit better.
First of all is the curve of the but on the hip that is closest to us. The butt should end roughly where the end of the shorts are. Therefore give it more of a curve and it will look better. Think of the butt to the leg as kinda a really curvy backwards L and it should turn out fine.
For the Abs, do the midpoint of the abs as the strongest contrast point and if you put in the sides of the abs, make them seemingly shadows compared to the middle crease. Although don't define it too much, or else she may not look feminine anymore.
The kneecap should be to to left of the picture more. The lower leg is turned, not the femer, therefore the kneecap won't be od an odd angle either. It also makes it a sharper transition to make it look better. Also, reduce the size of the calf. Lesser makes it look shaplier.
hope this helps. |

ok i've tried to draw the shadows on her face with mouse , and the result looked like a clown with worn-out make up. It's impossible to work with a mouse :/. I think she'll have to wait until i'll get a tablet ![Sad](images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) |

With photoshop the key I use in it is to turn down the opacity of your paintbrush so that it takes a couple of strokes to get it to look like you want, also giving it a bit of shading. Also remember to use layers so that working on one part of the drawing won't affect the rest.
This work can be done with a mouse. You just have to learn how to use the tools at your disposal. |

yes i know, that's what i'm doing although it takes time to draw straight lines or curves properly. I gave it another shot and i think this is the final version...
