Good work all!

comk> Wonderful, I like that. Reminds me of home.

This thread moves too fast, making an old man exhausted...

seth1, this is not an overpaint or done to suggest you did anything wrong, I really like that pic, and I just wanted to take a stab at it. If you don't like it, I will take it down.

Cool, fluo is back, yes that hand is cool. I like how you drew the tendons instead of the joints. Works!

Rasseltassel, neat!

Infernus, I like that image.

Burnout, looks like you got it to me. Now try different clouds, time of day, lenses, angles, etc.

The banner at the bottom of the page is selling me art by Hiromi right now.

I have been messing around with the idea to make some sort of
a speedy comic lately. what do u guys think? would this maybe
be an idea for a new themed thread? or maybe a theme in here.

another rough thumbnail.

Really nice stuff I see here.
I wasn't at Sijun for one and a half years now I think but it's good to see that there're still the good old guys around as well as some new talents.

Good idea with the Comic. Dunno though if it's better in an own thread or in here ....

Well, I never doodle digitally [which is a bad habit] but this thread gave me some motivation to try it, so here are two pics.
Hope the compostions are ok somehow Wink
Rough reference used of course [I'm really bad at painting ;P]
But no overpaint ..

30 mins

45 mins

My very first acrylic painting attempt. Boy the color picker sucks and what's up with the opacity settings...?

wanted to get a couple in before the 1300 mark..
this is more of a lame color over a decent pen and ink... ugh..

Octavian: Nice. I'd define the lightsabre more.. also I think those green sparks are blaster shots hitting him? I'd do the trademark green laser burst thru the air to establish that.. The trees are great.. the colors are so rich I really like the feeling of the wilderness and also the posture of vader. . the wounded figure seems a little off perspective wise (maybe a little big?)

I would crit more people but I'm still catching up Smile

Chris: awesome frog!
hope you don't mind some fanart. Love your work, very vivid.

Mitsui: very nice! so simple yet so effective. Hey I just got an email from a [email protected], with a subject line: Weah Hello! I'm betting it's a random spam/virus cause all it has is a zip file...

Teyekanik: I like the mood.

used just your ref at the beginning, couldn't figure out frog anatomy tho...
artrage for 30 minutes.

I tried but it's too late for me to stay up, this took about 5min I'm thinking I like this method..

I tried to be more bold..[/img]

ddhawgurl : yes it is my shameless self in the picture ...well its just because i m the cheapest and most avaliable model around heheheh =p

isric and spooge demon : thanks for the kind comments, glad you liked the hand. I'm not particularly proud of it tho, i have tremendous difficulty
to draw them that small : see i try and draw some hands daily
( always my left one ! go figure haha ), and i got used to do them
approx life size
here are some recent examples :

Now here s tonight effort ... GUESS WHO ( i just hope this isnt gonna end up in a court room, i already feel sorry hehehehe )

loosely based on a photograph of that person ( and NO it isnt the COCONUT SLICE SAMURAI )
