@seth1 thank you

@octavian Your latest is real nice
@henrik you are a huge inspiration of mine. Great work!
@spooge demon. I really like the last two of yours.
in some of your speedpaintings one can see that you made a rough sketch.
And sometimes it seems you don't?
What makes you decide whether or not to make a skecth or not?
curious... Smile

awefully hasty...

Mitsui>> the last one looks great!

henrik>> Nice!!! How did you and Pringle make such great evironment scenes/ lighting...I want to be able to do that.

antx>> Thanks buddy! Yeah, back then I didn't even know what to do with PS, painter, or real paint. Not that I know it now, just a little more comfortable with what I do. Plus, lots of help from great experience artist (especially ABCart) around me and great artists on the forums. Someday, I am hoping to control the medium rather than the medium control me. Smile

Allpetter>> Love your basket!

Neff>> Keep cranking!!! you are progressing.

Great work people, keep it up!!! and Thanks

@XIA Just stopping by to say thanks so much, glad you like! Smile
Your latest pieces are mindblowing, especially the oil one.
Real nice batch your latest.

Guess one has to paint something to add a comment!
a VERY quick speedpainting, no reference used.

cheers

allpetter: whoa. I envy your color sense.Looks almost real.

XIA: always loved your characters!

henrik: sweet! Makes me want to replay Homeworld just looking at that. Too bad there wasn't a scene so beautfiul like that in the game as your picture.

spooge: that's still awesome! I noticed you darken the faces, why is that? its darkest at the top and then slowly fades as it approaches the neck.

Again: I attribute this to Sparth. I hope it's not too crappy.

Just some more crap. Tryed to do what spooge was explaining, about painting in the mid tones. Don't think I pulled it of. Any suggestions? Anyone? Help!

from life with mouse:

I somehow think more when I draw with a mouse than with a tablet. I think it is because I'm forced to work slower and because I have to pick every single color. I should try thinking more when painting with tablet

spooge, henrik - very nice

xia - nice landscape n lizard creature, creature is the best one i've seen you do. what did pringle tell you?

mitsui - blue one is nice.

octavian - keep refining te drawing without drawing with the brush... hope that makes sense. getting better though, keep it up.

scottg - keep at it. contrast sharp with soft edges, focus it where u want hte eyes to focus.

stephan - like that one.

Ultrahsu>> Shocked Shocked Shocked Damn, your skintone always look so vibrant and alive!!! Thanks...uh...Pringle told me to practice from ref...then when comfortable...modified it as I wish...until one day I might be able to come up with something good from scratch. DO you have any tip on landscaping or enviromental concept? Any suggestion/ though I will greatly appreciated.
And YES! Tutorial on your stuff would be great!!! Smile

Thanks all for your feedback!

henrik: Great work! Please post more often

Xia: I really like your last two landscape ones. They have a lot of energy!

Teyekanik: Hehe, that's cool! Great drawing. The colours look a bit unsaturated and the values are too close together though. This would be a real killer with a bit more...umm.. light in it :)

Inferus: Nice! The left half of the image is awesome. You kinda lost track of the values on the right though, I think.

ultrahsu: Is that photoshop?

Hey people. did a little color/ texture job on a rescent sketch.

vyle- exellent. Nice brushstrokes and nice color choices. Ive seen some of your work before. very nice stuff.

ultrahsu- great work again. your brushstrokes are also most exellent. The skintones really kick ass. You seem to really have it down. all the rescent posts ive seen from you here have great skintones in them. that hand you captured so very nicely. any kind of ref used for that?

henrik-nice work as always. you keep getting better. I actually have worked at the same video game company as you in sweden (although at a later time), so i figure its just a matter of time before i totally become just as good as you.

pigbelly- welcome to the forum. nice work on those faves. on the last on the eyes color looks a bit odd though. looks like the pupil is perhaps a little too desaturated?

spooge- a question, do you use ref for your lighting in your pictures most of the time or have you just done it enough times to know. Anways keep bringin us your wonderful treats Smile

this is an odd one, couldn't stay away from the evil smudgetool, pushed stuff around too much, buggered the structure, someone from my distant past that popped into my head tonight, from memory (one that would get me into trouble from the wife), about an hours worth of noodling/smudging Confused
