To make this vector image i employ 12-15 hour, i worked very very hard, so i hope you like it !
Made completely in Adobe Illustrator, only the background and the text are made in Photoshop.
C&C !!!

WOW!
That is the best handmade vector work I've ever seen!

Real Nice use of colour, lighting is awesome too.
I especially like the folds on the right arm.

Great work Willylorbo.

But you did have a photo reference to work from.. right?

Either way, this is awesome.

Willylorbo,

one thing you will find very quickly is that people in Sijun dont like it when somebody traces or over paints a photo.

You definitely have skill with adobe illustrator, now use your powers for good, not evil.

try drawing something with illustrator without using a photoreference. if you do use refs, then try not to trace them. Thats what will get the best reactions here at sijun... take it from somebody who's been here for a long time.

its not that people dont like when you trace photos, cause every one digs greg horn's work. but you have to add something to it. there is absolutly no art in something adobs streamline could calculate automatically.

this guy does portraits in vector, but its definatly art! check it out at:

http://juniatwork.mrtio.com/

not trynnuh diss you, but people just cant see the art in a direct trace.

Yeah dude, it's like you put it in flash and applied a 'trace bitmap' feature.

Yep!
You should definitely state that it is traced so that people like me dont have to make a complete fool of the selfs.

Its a job well done there for beeing a trace willylorbo.
But I'd like to take back that I thought it was awesome.

edit: I dont think you used adobe streamline or the likes to generate a vector image.

yeah willy, make sure you tell people its a trace, and preferably give a link to your reference.

This is the third time i've seen you post a trace without saying it was so... Shocked Shocked

its nice for being a trace...but it would be a lot better if you had made it yourself. What I mean is that it takes a lot more talent to draw something like this than it does to trace it. If you don't post your references when you trace you are stealing work from others.

you guys are missing the point. tracing would almost be an improvement. What's happened here is setting up perameters, and hitting a button, so that an image is converted into vectors.
