ultrahsu, thanks there.

thanks everyone else for your comments.

allpetter, very nice.

J. Cheung, hey there and welcome into the posting. I use 100 opacity and 50 flow when I paint. To keep practising and try out different things is probably the best tip I can give u, try out to do some rough pieces and then go for some really cleaned up pieces. For me though as spooge said I am doing things backwards so I am not sure if I am an good example to follow. But keep sketching and doodling and I think u will find out where to put more strength and where to go with your art. keep it up. Smile

Something to post with my answer, yea I know I am bad with hiding mode, *hide mode starts now.
time for bed.

XIA: I like your work. You are getting better too. When you started to post here I thought that your pics look good but where too blurry. Some more definition would make them look much more finished. Well, now your pics have already much more detail and dont have that unfinished look anymore.

Last one for some days... at least posting here will stop for a few days for me.

Not much to look at, but an improvement in my quest to understand digital painting.

Much amazing work on this thread.

bagelguillotine Thanks for your comments. I think I'm trying tobe to fast with my brush work and color selection. I want to force it to be natural, but untill I'm more use to this digi-tablet and brush work in photoshop, it may be sometime before instinct is able to take over.

40 min photoshop CS (first time using CS, pretty much the same as what I'm used to in 7 though) from ref for a friend

started out as a high contrast b&w doodle, decided it'd be fun to see what some quick colors thrown under would look like and this is the result.

I haven't posted here for quite some time now, I almost haven't painted anything at all for a couple of months, instead I've been drawing, reading, thinking (a lot), rethinking (a lot), observing the world around me, I think I've learnt quite a lot.

great work all

Lates,
