overall a pretty good picture.
my suggestions:
face looks clear enough but body seems blurry (i would go over edges of body with a sharp edged eraser)
hair looks thin, I would make it more opaque
scales/body don't meld together right, you need some kind of transition
I would put multicolored scales on mermaid because scales all the same color makes it look texturish
bigger boobs |

Thank you for replying!
I know the pic is blurrya lot of that is (unfortunately) due to a transition from my laptop to my i-mac and my i-mac to the internet. It was WAY too dark on my i-mac so I had to play around with it a bit. Anyway, I was trying to get her to kind of blend into the background, so her hair is thin. Besides, most mermaids have thick hair and I wanted to do something a little different. That's also the reason for the scales. Maybe your computer isn't picking it up, but they do have bits of colors in them! Some faint pinks for instance. And she's a YOUNG mermaid!! Mermaids don't always have to look really adult, you know.
Just giving you my reasons for doing things to way I did 'em. Thanks again for commenting! |
