thanks sparth, I need to do some machines soon like you guys do. But I love painting faces/figures. nice site/artwork you have, btw... where did you get your album technology?

shambles, here's another lunchie. with the last one you painted, you should go back in and add a few strokes, opaque solid-ish stroke over the top of the brim catching some light. And some nice darker strokes to indicate the shadow from the brim, make them soft if you're trying to do a rainy/overcast day, hard if sunny, and transparent if you don't want to lose the detail you have already. Its all set up for it Smile

Anyways, here she is,

creepy kid #4

yea nice stuff matthew.. you're an inspiration to me considering how far you've come! just for the record.. cubism's about edges, not cubes! you kind of focus on the shapes created by color/light/form and emphasize the relationships between eachother.. i guess it's kind of like the hard/soft edges trick but trying to change the values/colors rather than just smoothing or sharpening. you do it even if you're not considering it
..ok, sorry...

lovely stuff ultra!

Thanks Dura. Smile I would want to return. But all this takes up too much time already. I really love your second one. I think you are heading the right direction with your art. Very nice

I like the creepy girls too, ultrashu

I am happy with this painting, although most people stare at me in disbelief. Maybe not so much the painting, but I can see where it might go and I am happy with the harmony of the paint use and shapes used.

idiran, pretty cool there, thank you. Smile

thanks again guys, still though I have a long long way to go.

Not sure why they call it english rain, they should call it Swedish rain cause I am sitting here in the dark rainy weather with nowhere to go haha.
Better put on a raincoat.

joe84> oh, so SLE (serial experiment lain)
the series has a scene almost alike, but your picture just lacks the details (the human figure is a girl and is about to jump down with a smile on her face, there are some neon signs on the buildings etc.)

but anyways, love it <3
