yay, hpx is back!

aphelionart: I like that... dunno why, but its cool.

captn flushgarden: cool stuff. Good to see you back too.

Godwin, thanks for responding. I ended up just going back to srgb profile to paint with...

Does anyone else experience this problem? (your images looking different on the web than in photoshop)

just another 20-30 min quickie... still can't figure out what in the hell is wrong with my color profile mismatches so inadvertantly this looks more desaturated than I intended.

yeah, that happens to me too. Usually the colors get desaturated and it loses a lot of detail and gets all smudgy looking in places. Does anyone know a cure for this?

heysoos: thanks for responding... although sadly I am looking for a cure too. I basically changed my color profile to srgb 2.1 and everything seems to at least end up close to what it looks like on the web.

man, If I didn't suck so bad, I might actually be good.

octavian, I pm u about it a couple of months ago but have u really tried with the same color profile in photoshop as u have in your monitor? u know I had this too when I bought my new monitor a year ago but everything was helped with having the same color profile that u use for the monitor and use that one in the photoshop. if u don't use one in the color settings I suggest to add one in the color management and select the same one in photoshop.
hmm me recalls I used the old adobe 98 for my old monitor and had that one set to the monitor aswell, let me know if you need more help or if I should explain myself further cause I believe I write confusing sometimes.

hope it helps
Matthew

YESMOREHPXPLEASE

About the mac gamma, yes, it was much lighter and gave me fits. clamp it down some and you will be OK. Probably best to paint lighter, as it makes for a better habit, better "exposure", information in shadows, etc. Take it down if you need later. I do this on most commercial jobs.

if you use sRGB for your color profile, your save for web image should be the same as your photoshop image.
