Hey peoples,
I go to this site everyday and browse the great work - it's not painting but i thought I would go ahead and post it to see if anyone here had experience and interested.
We are looking for an special effects artist. This is a well rounded technical artist who can texture, light, model, and animate, and who has a strong eye for state-of-the-art game fx.. They should be an expert in 3D Max, Max plug-ins, and/or Maya, Photoshop, and be able to:
� Follow concept art, story boards, written descriptions, and scripts
� Demonstrate proactive approach to problem solving, talent for doing more with less, and the ability to self manage (with direction)
� Create dynamic and spectacular in-game SFX using a limited number of polygons and textures (explosions, fire, rain, flowing water, etc.)
� Be familiar with scripting in Max and be able to learn complex and technical in-house art tools and pipelines
� Demonstrate versatility: will be doing sfx for movies(no limitations), in game levels (limitations), and weapons
� Demonstrate strong communication skills: will be working closely with programmers from several departments, level builders, designers, and other artists
� Create convincing special effects using particles, lights, and bit maps
Our Sony (SCEA) studio is located in a resort town in beautiful Central Oregon which offers very short commute times, no traffic, reasonable home ownership costs, good restaurants, great beer, skiing, snowboarding, golfing, white water rafting, mountain biking, and fishing. Our work environment offers private offices, closely knit teams, and the chance to be part of a growing studio.
