This was a value study.
As my drawings usually turns out it has that greyed out look to it.
I was hoping to archieve that 'vibrant' look to it.
Could anyone who is familiar with the technique of value painting critique and help me out? |

Not what I'd call an inspired composition, just wanted to paint something before bed. Neptune, from Triton's surface, ArtRage

Vyle: I have just today discovered your amazing artworks. I love your website. The way you use color is awesome. I can't wait to see more.
Mitsui: Wow thats a cool spaceship scene. I like the lighting a lot
Not sure what this is. I'm not sure how long it took because I didnt keep track. Probaly something like 1 hour , 30 minutes. I'm not really liking it because it's way to busy and has no focus point, but I wanted to post it anyways.

I have been browsing all drawings, sketches and paintings in this topic, and cannot say anything else except "wow". Fantastic work, you are all great artists, without exception! If I could draw 1/10th as bad as any of you I'd be happy for the rest of my life
Having a bit of trouble finding a decent program...have Photoshop but cant seem to really "work" with that the way I want to. Used Artrage and liked that better, but has very little flexibility. Also drawing/painting with a mouse is hell grr...
Replaced previous image with a zoomed detail of the clouds, the part I put the most detail in. _________________ I am a n0ob painter/drawer
