Right klaivu.. and the appropriate response to September 11th would have been to gently stroke the al Qaeda into submission?

It must be pretty easy for you to sit behind your keyboard and preach world peace as though you've actually done something to achieve it. If you're so keen on achieving world peace, why don't you step away from your computer and work towards that yourself?

I can also sit behind MY keyboard and claim that I'm dedicated to solving the AIDs epidemic in Africa. I'm not, but it'd sure sound cool, wouldn't it?

No it doesn't.

It makes light of ruthless killers dying in Afghanistan. I get the impression some people here would rally to free Charles Manson in the name of 'world peace'.

So all people in Afganistan affected by US bombings are ruthless killers?

People can pass ill judgment of me if they wish, but I giggled once while watching that. So what. I also laughed when someone told me the new airline slogan of "We'll fly you to your office", even though I cried on Sept 11th (cause I'm a big cry baby and stuff). Can't I find something funny without the joke being used as some kind of anti-humanitarian screening test against me? I'm sure I have a stick up my butt about a few things here and there, but with the perpendicular coniferous forest populating everyones anuses these days it certainly makes it hard to chuckle without inciting a witch hunt. And you know what? That too makes me laugh.

Check this out:

LOL

Yeah, what are you going to do about that?

LMAO

Come burn my house down humor nazis!

ROFLMAO

Check out my moves

ROFLMAOUIROAMILOTF*

Well anyway, now someone can go be the hero and save the world from people like me by telling me where I'm wrong, correcting my spelling and accusing me of being socially illmannered or whatever. And there will be much rejoicing...

(* roll on floor laughing my ass off until I roll over a marble I left on the floor)

You told on these forums that you lost someone near to you the 11th september, so I really don't think it matters if you're american or not .. I understand it's a touchy subject

No, I'm not trying to defend the islamist fanatics.

And, this is surely not the only flash movie with the same subject circling around the net .. Sure, it makes pretty clear that it's making fun of a particular faction. But, we still have a mass of homemade flicks showing basically 'ragheads that deserve to die', die.

I don't want to get political on this. BAD thing to do on strongly emotional subjects.

Wow, I can't believe you actually remembered it was me that mentioned that, klaivu. Thanks for remembering, and thanks also for making me realize that I'm really not in an objective enough position to argue this without letting emotion take over.

Sorry if I offended anyone.

On an entirely shallow level, I did find the animation funny. I don't think I found it funny because it was making light of a bad situation, but because there was some crazy voice screaming "PRAISE ALLAH!" all the time. Hehehehe.

No offense taken koala, I was just playing the devil's advocate. I'll admit the cartoon was pretty funny.

What I was really trying to say is that al Qaeda deserves to be anal fucked by the the human race, but the people of Afganistan are still people, and they should be respected, even though the cartoon probably portrayed just the members of al Qaeda....maybe I'm just hyper-analyzing things as usual.

Yay! Possible conflict subdued.

Ya know; there was a pretty long while where I thought (along with most of you) that Sijun wasn't ever going to be able to recover from all the morons, flamers, and shit-disturbers that were seemingly migrating in flocks to this place. Notice the number of posts I have in relation to my member number. :P

I think that has finally changed, and I'm so glad. Six months ago, this thread would have self-imploded in a shitstorm of flames and opinions. The fact that I was able to realize I was not in a position to be speaking the way I was, and apologize for it without being made fun of, and in fact, welcomed for doing so, is a really positive sign.

Thanks guys.

Slaughtering people en mass is a source of great enjoyment. Especially bombing entire families and villages that have no involvement with governmental affairs whatsoever. And then calling it justice--without even taking the dignity to acknowledge that such people were killed, and calling any casualties "side effects of war." At least the terrorist cells around the world take responsibility for their actions. The terrorist cell known as the United States just washes it off.

Sometimes I like to support a war that is legally not even war, according to the War Powers Act. But that's alright, we can go ahead and waive the Constitution because killing people is more fun.

-sigh-

"Praise Allah!
(Al Qaeda is an equal opportunity employer.)"

Politics-schmolitics, that was just plain funny.

Hey, talking about religious nuts, I saw a site today where they're actually seriously saying the reason dinosaurs died out is because they couldn't fit on Noah's ark...
LOL

Hahaha

I always used to wonder if the fish needed to climb aboard the Ark to avoid the big bad flood.

Nilwort,

You seem to consistently (yet conveniently) miss the point.

I didn't say that EVERYONE in Afghanistan were ruthless killers, now did I? And is the animation making fun at EVERYONE in Afghanistan? No. It's making fun of the al Qaeda. You have sympathy for the cute little terrorists do you?

Klaivu, this is an ANIMATION. What al Qaeda did to America was slightly worse than a stupid animation making fun of them. You lack perspective. You seem to see issues as either "good" or "bad" and are not able to put them into any kind of moral perspective.

I'm not meaning to sound insulting here, but I'm getting sick of all the human rights activists trying to defend these sacks of shit. I mean, really... come on.

You mean to tell me with the amount of disgust the world apparently has against the United States there isn't this kind of stuff out there about the US?

Somehow I seriously doubt that.

People are probably just afraid to post it and become ostrasized by freaky US nationalists who chant 'you are either with us or against us'.

But those people need to be made fun of if they aren't already. We are missing out on some very valuable comedic realestate if we don't.

And speaking of comedy...Da Ghetto Tymz

(found on somethingawful.com)

Edit: Jeesh, if nobody is going to correct my spelling I guess I'll have to do it myself.

It made me chuckle softly.

I think it would be funny if it was changed to fit the U.S. too.

I'm sorry if I'm not like you (and that seams to be such a crime), but watching little flash movies about people getting bombed for their religion isn't my favorite way to get a quick laugh.

Again, if the same thing (only changed 'an crap) was made for the U.S. I would watch it, I would be entertained.. and that goes for any other country.

Hmmm It got boring really fast. And the sounds stopped after a while so I just closed it.
It just wasn't very original or even funny.

I am not very much into being politically correct but if I was as tightly sphinctered as some people seem to be I'd say this was quite insulting to the muslim religion.

And I am sure there are movies like this about americans. And if I would post those here some people would get really really pissed at me. I would be accused of bigotry and people would start talking about how they saved my ass from the germans 50 years ago.

To me this isn't making fun of a religion or a people. It's making fun of a minority of fanatical evil mad freaks who are perverting one of the world's great religions to their own ends.

I'd laugh just as much to a satirical flash movie about one of those fanatics from the Bible-belt who believe the Great Flood actually did cover the whole world, and who believe that the movie Ice Age should be banned because it teaches evolution to our kids.
