omg, the one thing that makes artrage feel so real is that I suck just as much at it as traditional medium, I'm gonna try and do all my sketches in artrage or real life sketching and let phooshop be my work program haha...
I guess this is london on crack...

Pringle >> that looks awesome, love it.

shitty fanart off the weather rail... mr buttocks, gun crews at the ready...
The stuff in that movie I have been trying to visualize for a long time. All it took was 150 mil!
Zhuzhu, I will wait for artrage 2. One problem I have with that program and painter is the color picker. I want HSB. Cant get what I am after without that. Especially if you re painting opaque, which means you have to get it just right, and I spend so much time and never get it. I can mix real paints faster.
p-rik- what is this accentuation filter? Maybe you mean color dodge or overlay? I do use it sometime, usually for sketches where I am pushing contrasts more than I would for more finished work. I pretty much stay away from color dodge, it is a little too strong. I might play with the contrasts of the textured ground that I paint on, to get it a little more in key with what I want to do with it.
I really like your sketches, stereophoenix
starglider youre welcome. hope it helped |

Excuse my ignorance, Mr. Mullins, but when you mention your problems with Painter's HSB...is it referred to its display or something else? I mean, HSV should be equal to HSB, and Painter and PS both display it (in different ways, that is...).
I love your "Dance" pic, BTW...really subtle erotism there. _________________ _ _ _____ _ _

Ugh, subtle value practice--trying to stay away from black and white while still keeping contrast--is more painful than jamming my wacom pen through one ear and out the other.
Nice work everyone. _________________ http://www.mcchesney-art.com |
