Any comments/criticisms would be great. After working on something for awhile i tend to go blind to errors

hard getting comments here sometimes isn't it?

i like the colors on the first one, it all has a nice cohesive orange feel to it, makes it look very warm and summery. The sun reflection on the water is pretty nice, but i'm not sure what's going on with some of the lighting on the girl. She seems to be lit more or less backwards to where the sun is, the shadows seem to be in the direction of the sun and the highlights away from it. I think the highlights on her face might be a little over done too. the skin tones there get a little mixed up too, which makes it hard to read her face. the head area probably seems like it needs the most work in terms of coloring, the structure itself is pretty good. wouldn't hurt to render the hair a little bit further as well.

the second pictures good too, i already saw it in the four riders thing. its a nice concept, motorcycle gang of the apocolypse. Nice colors on the background again, i wouldn't mind a bit more on the riders, but then again they're in black leather, so you can't expect too much color there. I'm not really sure which rider is which, i'm thinking maybe the guy in front is war on the guy on the left is death?

Both are pretty good, keep it up.

yep, it can be difficult to get feedback on here sometimes, especially for a small timer like me

the idea with the lighting on the summer pic was to contrast with the light/dark bg, not accurate, but i wanted to experiment with "invented" lighting. and yep, looking at it again, some of the lighting/modeling on the face needs reworking.

for the riders, i originally had the idea to make it obvious who was death, war, etc... but then decided to not make it so clear and go for an overall look, like they are a biker gang for the apocalypse again, don't know if this was a wise choice, maybe it would have been better to make it more defined...

I like both pics, but I like the second one much better. It has got a nice touch of darkness maybe you should add some scenery on both sides of the road.. like some debris and dirt.. just a thought
